Terms of Use
These Terms govern account use, community participation and access to ODDKNOWN.
Effective August 31, 2026
1. Eligibility
ODDKNOWN accounts and community participation are for people age 18 or older. By creating or signing into an account, you confirm that you are at least 18.
2. What ODDKNOWN provides
ODDKNOWN publishes sourced Articles and Admin-reviewed News about mysteries, unusual events, folklore, paranormal claims, UFO/UAP reports, cryptids, unexplained events, conspiracies and related subjects. Articles and News compile information from credited sources and available records. ODDKNOWN does not claim to have personally investigated or independently verified every event or claim.
3. Community content
Members may post text, comments, ratings, photos, video and audio. You are responsible for what you submit and for having the rights or permission needed to share it. Do not present AI-generated, staged, altered or fictional media as authentic evidence.
4. Respect for religions and beliefs
ODDKNOWN welcomes discussion of religious, spiritual, skeptical and non-religious viewpoints. Members must respect people of every religion, faith, spiritual tradition and belief or non-belief. Good-faith disagreement, historical discussion and criticism of ideas are allowed; harassment, threats, dehumanizing attacks, targeted mockery or abuse directed at people because of their religion or beliefs are not allowed.
5. License to display your submissions
You keep ownership of content you own. By posting it to ODDKNOWN, you give ODDKNOWN a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, display, format and distribute that content as needed to operate, moderate, promote and improve the service. You may delete your own content where the product provides that option, subject to legal, safety and moderation needs.
6. Safety and acceptable use
Do not use ODDKNOWN to harass, threaten, dox, impersonate, defraud or endanger others. Do not encourage trespassing, unlawful entry, violence or dangerous activity. Respect private property, closures, sensitive locations and local laws. Do not upload illegal content or content that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
7. Moderation
ODDKNOWN may review, label, limit, remove or preserve content; restrict features; suspend or ban accounts; and respond to reports when reasonably necessary for safety, policy enforcement, legal compliance or platform integrity. Ratings and community opinions do not represent ODDKNOWN’s endorsement of a claim.
8. Locations and maps
Community locations may be generalized or rounded for privacy and safety. A map pin does not mean a location is open to the public or safe to visit. Always verify access rules independently. Moonrise and moonset calculations can use browser location only when permission is granted; the public Moon panel does not publish those exact coordinates.
9. Sources, media and News
ODDKNOWN credits the source used for News and identifies media sources when available. Context photographs are not automatically evidence of a claim. Third-party media remains subject to its original license, source terms and ownership. News drafts are reviewed by an Admin before publication.
10. No guarantee of accuracy
Unexplained-topic information can be disputed, incomplete or wrong. ODDKNOWN is provided for informational and community purposes. Do not rely on the service as professional, legal, medical, emergency or safety advice.
11. YouTube and TikTok profile links
Members may optionally add public YouTube channel and TikTok profile links to their ODDKNOWN profile. These are ordinary external links only. ODDKNOWN does not connect to, sign in to, monitor, synchronize, upload to, edit, delete from, or otherwise control a member’s YouTube or TikTok account. Members are responsible for the external links they choose to display.
12. Private messaging and notifications
Members may send private text, photos, supported video, and audio to other members when recipient messaging settings allow it. Message media is stored in private storage and is available only to conversation participants through authenticated access. Users must not use messages for harassment, threats, scams, illegal activity, or unwanted repeated contact. Blocking a member prevents new direct messaging. ODDKNOWN may process account notifications for messages, likes, comments, replies, follows, ratings, credibility ratings, reposts, moderation, and security events. Saved-post activity remains private and is not sent to post authors.
13. Third-party services and changes
ODDKNOWN may use or link to third-party services, sources and infrastructure. Their terms and policies may apply. These Terms may be updated as ODDKNOWN evolves. When a new version requires acceptance, signed-in users may be asked to agree again before continuing.
