Privacy Policy
This policy explains the main categories of information ODDKNOWN processes and how they are used.
Effective August 31, 2026
1. Information we collect
We may process account information such as your email address, authentication provider, profile name, username, avatar, optional TikTok and YouTube links and account settings. We also process content you submit, including posts, comments, ratings and uploaded media.
2. Age, Terms and Privacy consent
Signed-in users must confirm they are 18 or older and accept the current Terms and Privacy Policy. ODDKNOWN records the relevant consent timestamps and policy version so the account can be required to accept later material updates.
2. Location information and Moon panel
If you choose to add a location to a community post, ODDKNOWN may process generalized coordinates to place a marker on the public map. The website rounds browser coordinates before public posting. The Moon panel can temporarily use your browser location to calculate moonrise and moonset; those exact Moon-panel coordinates are not written to your ODDKNOWN profile or public map by that feature.
2. Usage and live presence
ODDKNOWN may process session and usage information needed to operate the service, prevent abuse and show aggregate live-online counts. This can include platform type, current screen and recent activity time. The public live counter is aggregate and is not intended to reveal who is online.
2. How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, provide profiles and community features, display and moderate content, operate maps and live counts, investigate abuse reports, secure the service and improve ODDKNOWN.
2. Public information
Public profiles, optional social links, posts, comments, ratings and media can be visible to other users and visitors depending on your settings. Do not post information you want to keep private.
2. Service providers and source websites
ODDKNOWN uses service providers such as Supabase for authentication, database and storage functions and Cloudflare for website delivery. Article context media may be requested from Wikimedia Commons and News pages may link to original publishers. Those third parties receive normal web-request information when your browser accesses their resources.
2. Data retention, controls and security
Information may be kept for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain records, resolve reports, comply with law and protect users. Product controls may allow you to edit or remove certain profile information and content. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; use a unique password and protect access to your authentication accounts.
10. YouTube and TikTok profile links
If you add a YouTube channel URL or TikTok profile URL to your ODDKNOWN profile, ODDKNOWN stores that URL so other users can open the public page you chose to share. ODDKNOWN does not request YouTube or TikTok account authorization, does not store provider access or refresh tokens, and does not synchronize or control those external accounts.
11. Private messages and notifications
Private messages may include text and supported photo, video, or audio attachments. Message attachments are stored in a private bucket and are not public website media. Conversation membership controls access. ODDKNOWN stores message content, timestamps, sender/conversation identifiers, and attachment paths so the messaging feature can operate. Notification records may be created for messages and account interactions such as likes, comments, replies, follows, ratings, credibility ratings, reposts, moderation, and security events. Members can control several notification categories in profile settings.
12. Adults only and policy changes
ODDKNOWN requires account users to be 18 or older. This Privacy Policy may change as the service develops. If a material or versioned update requires renewed consent, you may be asked to accept it at sign-in.
