Barker Ranch

Barker Ranch is on OK MAP because the remote Death Valley property became a hideout for Charles Manson and members of the Manson Family in 1968–1969. National Park Service history records that law-enforcement attention after vandalism at the ranch helped lead to arrests and connections to the Los Angeles murders. Most of the ranch was later destroyed by fire in 2009.
