Skidoo Ghost Town
Skidoo is on OK MAP as a documented Death Valley gold-boom ghost town founded after a 1906 discovery. It grew to roughly 700 residents with a bank, newspaper, school and water pipeline, but the boom collapsed within little more than a decade. It is also remembered for the killing of a store owner and the vigilante hanging of Hootch Simpson, later surrounded by the legend that he was hanged twice.
